Do you have a special cookie jar?
I have two cookie jars.
My husband was always a baseball player from Little League right through college, so I fell in love with this baseball bear cookie jar when I saw it. My sister bought it for me well before I was married. (That's 18 years, so I'd say it's a least 20 years old.) I do not store cookies in him because he's not air-tight and little hands would most likely have broken him long ago.
Then I have this one, from Pier One, which does have an air-tight seal. I wouldn't say you could leave cookies in it for days & days, it's not that air-tight, but cookies would never last in my house for days & days so it's not a problem.
Have you ever surfed the web for cookie jars? Oh my goodness! I only searched Amazon & let me tell you, if I had to pick one, I couldn't do it. There are so many choices, I had no idea!
Here are some that caught my eye...
I love Dr. Seuss. Isn't this amazing?
How about I Love Lucy's oven?
A sweet cupcake cookie jar? Yes, please.
And now onto some more practical options...
How cute is this personalized one?
Just because this one might not have the bells & whistles of the others, I find it no less appealing.
Inquiring minds want to know...when you bake up batches of heaven from the oven, where do you store them?

Honestly, mine do not last long enough! LOL...I do have a few seasonal cookie jars. Yours are cute.
ReplyDeleteI have a few cookie jars but don't seem to use them. Why? Now I'm wondering because they are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the one you bought from Pier1. I have a MacKenzie-Childs glass canister with a black and white lid. It is not airtight, but with the kids around here (and in the neighborhood) they never last!
ReplyDeleteLet me tell you girl...When I bake cookies they never last long enough to store...Hee, hee, hee. "COOOOOOOKIES" I even sound like the Cookie Monster too ;-P I don't own a cookie jar. I don't think I ever have, maybe that's why. Love, love, love your Pier1 cookie jar though. Now if I had one, that is what I would like :-) Have a wonderful new week my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Smiles,

aww..I love your cookie jars! This is a great post. I never store my cookies in a jar b/c my bunch eats them too fast! I usually put them on a covered cake plate but it never seems to last more than a day. I really like the last jar, just the plain clear one. That inspires me to go get one. I've seen them and they are relatively inexpensive. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAhem...when Nestle premade dough and I bake we have a plain glass cookie jar. My Mom does have quite the interesting collection though. LOVE both of yours. Super cute.
ReplyDeleteI put them on a plate and then they are gone! Boys eat cookies fast! Love the inspriational photos! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the Lucy one. Cookie jars a quite collectable at the moment. My babies grown, so I would grow if I had one, but I always remember that my grandma had one and it was always full of cookies!
ReplyDeleteCarol
The cupcake cookie jar is adorable! I don't have one, but think maybe I should now!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Janet
