I don't have alot of Thanksgiving decorations, but I thought I would share with you what I do have.
This is my dining room hutch. The topiaries are from Michael's & I've had them for many years. The pilgrims were a TJ Maxx purchase last year. I made the subway art last summer, here.
I filled some of my apothecary jars with Fall related goodies.
I liked the centerpiece that I used for my Turkey Tablescape so much, here, that I decided to use it as my everyday centerpiece.
I had to include this picture. This is one of the shelves of my entertainment center. For every holiday, I try to work my kids' old books into the decor (on the shelves, in a basket, in a bucket, etc.) See that book that says "I can read!" Yeah, doesn't matter that they're 13 & 10 years old now, they still get excited every time I take out their old holiday books. I guess it's become a fun tradition that I never planned.

Looks like Thanksgiving to me. Love the little Pilgrim couple you picked up. AND~I love the old kids' books. I do the same thing and now I am bringing out my own kids' books for the grandkids.
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving decor is perfect. Love the idea of using the children's books. I do sometimes as well, along with my teddy bears. I love the chalkboard sign. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is so soon. How did that happen.
ReplyDeleteGina, your decor is so pretty for Thanksgiving! I love the book basket. You can tell you are a teacher! Very cute.
ReplyDeleteI think what you have is perfect Gina! I LOVE that first picture! Martina

ReplyDeleteJust the right amount of decor for Thanksgiving, Gina! I don't have a lot either, but pumpkins and leaves can go a long way! : ) Love those topiaries.

I love your decor! I am going simple this year for Thanksgiving. I also love to have holiday books around. hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteYou are all turkafied ;) Sure looks cute!! Mine is dying a slow death... I am so cruel. He He. It will be lucky if I let a little survive for the big day. It's being squeezed out by the razzle dazzle of Christmas =)
ReplyDeleteGreat look, you don't need much to make it festive, love the subway sign!!! So funny, I also have the books in a basket and change for the seasons, they bring back such nice memories for me....hugs...cleo
ReplyDeleteLove the fact that you teach your own children the value of books, they really are treasures! My children have favourite books that bring back clear memories.
ReplyDeleteI decorate with holiday books too! hehe
ReplyDeleteLove your decor!!!!
Looks just wonderful Gina! I didn't have to much Halloween things out so the few that I did put away helped bring out the fall things that I do have it was easy decorating! I know Christmas decorating won't be so easy though:)
ReplyDeleteOh I love all of your pretty vignettes, but I love the one with the children's books the best. How fun for them and such sweet memories. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI really like your subway art! I'm hoping to make one someday! Also, like all your little Thanksgiving books, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the orange and black contrast of your hutch and the decor. So festive. Can you believe the kids are on Thanksgiving vacation next week already? Wow, time is moving way too fast...You know what that means, don't you? Christmas is just around the corner...Yipee!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Kisses,
♥Ana
Oh I wish I had saved my sons books! That is such a great idea! You have more Thanksgiving decor than I do! I love the subway art
ReplyDeleteCarol
i love that subway art! we don't have many decorations that aren't made out of tissue paper, construction paper, and stickers :P i love the children's books in the basket!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks so warm and inviting. You actually reminded me to take out my seasonal books. They come out for Christmas, but as they've gotten older, I don't do it as much for the other holidays - and I should! Great turkey.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
That's a lot more Thanksgiving stuff than I have! I have a little scarecrow that my sons GF got me and that's pretty much the extent of it. I am sneaking some Christmas stuff out though:) We're putting the tree up next Friday and I can't wait!!!!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so lovely and festive in your home! What a cute idea about the kids books:)
Your Thanksgiving stuff looks great Gina.....I have not been blogging much this past week. Time to get some projects done! Love the idea of using your kids old books too. Have a great evening! It is snowing in our part of Alberta today.....have a great week end my friend.
