Homespun Christmas Tablescape

One day, I received a coupon in the mail from Coldwater Creek.  It was a coupon for $25.00 off any purchase.  Always looking for something new for the wardrobe, I happily went to Coldwater Creek for a little retail therapy.

It was just one of those days.  I liked lots of clothes, I tried lots of  them on, and I hated all of them.  As I was getting ready to admit defeat, I turned around & saw....dishes.   Yes, I said, dishes!  There were these adorable Christmas plates wrapped up with a bright red bow.  Well, it didn't take me but 5 seconds to realize that I should buy them.  They were a set of 4 for $29.95 and with my coupon, I got them for $4.95.

My husband is still trying to figure out how I went to a clothing store & managed to come out with dishes!  LOL

Getting to the point of this post, here they are in my homespun Christmas tablescape.....

I love the irregular round shape of these plates.

Tablecloth, several years ago, Target
Green dinner plates, Oneida Outlet
Red salad plates, 15+ years ago, Pier 1
Green bubble goblets, several years ago, Target
Ornament place card holders, last year, Michaels

Napkins, last year, Joanns
Green flatware by Cambridge, Home Goods
Gingham flatware, many years ago, Spiegel

After Christmas last year, I found this red gingham star tree topper at Hobby Lobby.  I couldn't resist the gingham & bought it for a few dollars.   I had no idea what to do with it, until now.  I added a silver star from Target, a Dollar Tree candle, some greenery & fake snow to a tin basket for this centerpiece.

Couldn't resist one more picture with the sun shining!

Can't believe Christmas is almost here!

  24. My kind of gal!! Go into Coldwater Creek and come out with nothing but dishes! Ha! That is fabulous! I have seen lots of dishes over the years there that I thought were just so cute, and you picked a winner!!! That they are a bit mishapen makes them that much cuter to me! I like things that are a little "off center" like that! (Which, I'm sure, explains my personality!) :-) Yay, you with your super discount!!!!!!!!
