A Touch of French Country tablescape

Tablescape time again!
I love it when I get a little time to play with my dishes.

Somehow when I put this table together,
I got a French Country feel.
I do realize that I am missing the
all important French Country rooster though.

(By the way, in a really stupid decision a few years back,
I actually sold all my roos in a garage sale!
What was I thinking?)

I've had this runner for a few years.
I believe it is Country Living, found at Kmart.

Blue floral salad plates from TJ Maxx.
Yellow dinner plates from a local grocery store.
Blue ric rac napkins from Pier 1.
Yellow flatware is Cambridge, found at Marshalls/Home Goods.
Blue goblets from Home Goods.

I love this blue & white checked pitcher.
I've had it for a long time and for the life of me,
I have no idea where I purchased it!
Blue votives are from Michaels.

A touch of French Country, without the roo!

  2. You might not have a roo, but you do have that awesome black and white pitcher filled with beautiful flowers! You get major points for that! :) The table setting is so pretty and cheerful!

  10. Very pretty, Gina! I love blue and yellow together. I need a trip to Pier one, the napkins are so sweet!

I tossed out a big rooster when I redid my kitchen and I could kick myself. If anything, I should have stored it somewhere until I wasn't so sick of it!!

    Jane

  15. Gorgeous tablescape. Don't you hate pre-blogging errors in judgement...like getting rid of the roos. I have a few of those in my world too.

  16. Beautiful! Blue & yellow is one of my absolute favorite color combos. Seriously, "holy roo," what possessed you to sell all your roos? LOL, totally have done the same thing with this or that over the years. Certainly calls for a "head slap" every time when I realize my horrible mistake! Are you re-collecting?

  17. This is so pretty Gina! I have to ask, do you just set the table up for a photo shoot or do you actually serve dinner with it that way? I really want to start putting more effort into setting the table, you're so good at it!

You are so right.... very French country!

Don't feel bad about selling your roos.. I've done the same thing.
Sold things, and then smacked my little forehead in regret :)

  29. Don't worry. You are not alone. I think we have ALL sold or given away or tossed something that we wish like heck we could get back! When I sold my business, I kept a lot of stuff, but there was a whole lot more I SHOULD HAVE kept!!! Live and learn, I suppose! :-) Meanwhile, even without the 'roo, this is a beautiful table. I LOVE that pitcher!!! VERY unique in both pattern and color. One rarely sees a boldly checked pitcher. I really, really like that!!!! Have a relaxing weekend!!!

  30. Gina, I knew that there was a reason that I boxed up all my roos and put them in the basement. I have had roos on the tops of my kitchen cupboard for 3 years. Had them in my family room at the previous home. I wanted a change and just about gave them all away. At the last minute I decided to save them for a while. Now I know why. Love your Frenchy table. The pitcher is too cute! The yellow and blue combo is so cheery and I love the runner.
    Hugs,
    Jann
