We meet so many wonderful people in the blogging world. I really love it when I chance upon a blogger that I know, without a doubt, I would be great friends with if I could interact with them "in real life."
Michele at The Nest at Finch Rest is one of those people. I visit her blog & she visits mine. She always leaves sweet, thoughtful and inspiring comments. You know, the kind of comments that make you feel special.
A few weeks ago, a package arrived at my door. I questioned myself, wondering what I ordered that I had forgotten about. When I opened the package, I found this pretty wire dress form:
Enclosed was a sweet card from Michele. She had read my sewing machine post and was so pleased that I was learning how to sew, she wanted to send me a gift to give me encouragement as I take on this challenge.
Isn't that the most thoughtful thing ever? See what I mean about how she makes a person feel special?
This thoughtful gift and the words she wrote in her card have made my heart sing! I am so fortunate to have crossed paths with Michele and am happy to call her a friend.
Aren't bloggy friends the best?

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful friend you've made to send you a special gift. It must have made you feel so special. From what I've read of your blog you are a special person as so many of you gals are.
Although I'm not a blogger I feel very privileged to be a small part of the blogging community. I've never been more creative than I am now. I'm 72 but keep busy keeping home clean, hubs out of my hair but doing projects for me and crafting.
It's good for both of us to stay busy.
I couldn't agree with you more about blog friends. I'm not a blogger but I subscribe to a great many blogs.
I am so touched by the kindness and helpfulness I read about. I have my favorites and leave comments on many of the blogs I subscribe to so I've gotten to "know" some of the gals, so sweet and helpful.
When any of you gals take the time to reply to my comments I'm so touched as I can only imagine all the time it must take to keep the blogs up let alone time for your families, etc.
I've been so happy to read about so many of you that craft and redo furniture, sew. whatever you're doing. I thought most young women didn't do that anymore.
I can definitely say that the internet has done very positive good in this way. How else could any of us "meet" and get to know people around the world?
What a wonderful gesture to send a such a cute gift. It is great as others have said that bloggers become your friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and thoughtful gift for a sweet and kind girl :-)

ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Gina, What a kind and thoughtful gift and what a wonderful surprise for you.
