Black & White Toile Tablescape

I've done it again.

I've managed to disappear from blogland for another week.

My apologies.

I just don't know where the time goes anymore.
♥♥♥

How about a tablescape?

It was a good day to play with a little black & white...
and toile.  I love toile.

Did you know that in my pre-blogging days,
my dining room was done in black & white toile?

When I started lightening up the dining room, there
were just some toile pieces, I didn't want to part with.
Like these placemats,  for instance.

Let's see...
Cream dinner plates are BH&G, from Walmart
White luncheon plates are Corelle
Black salad plates are from the Oneida Outlet
Black flatware is Cambridge, from Home Goods
Black goblets are from Kmart

I picked up the black metal coffee pot at an antique store last year.
I love the way it looks filled with flowers.
Tulips are my favorite!

It is always so much fun to play with dishes!

  4. I'm crazy about toile, especially black and white toile, so I happen to love this table. I would love some of those place mats.

And I relate to the disappearance too. I have worked nonstop on a kitchen project and missed not one but TWO weeks so far. UGH.

  31. I think we all understand taking a little break from blogging here and there. I do it all the time! There are just some weeks when it doesn't fit into the schedule! Or some weeks when the creativity valve has been shut off. Whatever the case, it's good to take the time we need to rejuvenate! Look at this gorgeous table...this is the absolute picture of rejuvenation!!!!!! I love black and white together so much. It just always has such a fresh look! I would love to do my kitchen and dining room in black & white. The colors work year round and can have other colors easily added for variety. I LOVE the coffee pot you used for the tulip display!!! Just beautiful! Have a great weekend, Gina!
