When I entered the Dollar Tree crafting party, I promised a Valentine's Day tablescape with my craft.
I am having a grand old time with PicMonkey, that's for sure!
I'm always worried that I don't have heart shaped or Valentine's Day dishes to use for a tablescape. This is the second time I've managed a Valentine's Day tablescape without them.
Felt placemates from Christmas Tree Shop
Ivory dinner plates are Better Homes & Gardens from Walmart
Red salad plates from the Oneida Factory Outlet
Mixed flatware...the ivory came from Target awhile ago, the red were an engagement gift some 20+ years ago
Ivory napkins from Bed, Bath & Beyond
I used clear napkin rings that I've probably had for 20 years and tied a red ribbon on them. I added a silver glass heart ornament that I bought a few years ago at Target (on clearance after Christmas.) Funny, I never used the hearts for Christmas. I always use them for Valentine's Day instead.
I do love those silver hearts! I scattered the rest of them across the table runner.
In the above photo you can see that I used my Dollar Tree craft for my centerpiece. My goodness that thing has gotten alot of use this year! lol I also used my chippy white & crystal candleholders. They came from Michaels a few years back. They've been used all over my house throughout the years. They go so well with everything!
Wishing you a wonderful, love-filled day!

Absolutely adorable! I love how you pull it all together with "non-Valentine" items to create something that screams "Amore!" Great job.

Gina - you are so creative that you did not need heart-shaped plates! What you did with those napkin rings was so smart! The table looks lovely - hope you and your family enjoy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteOh Gina, how sweet is that tablescape! I too love those little hearts.
ReplyDeleteYour table is fabulous and romantic!! I love Pic Monkey too!! So fun. You are great at it....I tried those hearts nothing. Look at you! Heart, ribbon and cherubs! You really make it pretty!
ReplyDeleteKaren
I am loving your Pic Monkey too! What an opening shot! Yes, you don't need specialty items with red and white and a touch of silver hearts it couldnt be more perfect. I really AM loving your Pic Monkey. I haven't tried it yet, but that is just too fun!
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that the shops around here don't sell Valentine's Day stuff like they used to do. It's really odd, and I wonder if it's because of the economy. I've tried to find some small, cheap plates, but I've been unsuccessful.
ReplyDeleteI like your tablescape with the tiny hearts. I think it looks great!

RJ
Love is definitely in the air!!
ReplyDeleteGreat tablescape!!
I love, love, love your table setting. I found you through Art@ Home. She has a button on her blog to visit you because you crack her up. I look forward to coming back for more.
ReplyDeleteGina, great pic monkey pictures.. love the lace.. wow. I think the table says valentines with no heart dishes! The red ribbon on the napkin rings just makes the table, especially with the cute hearts.. xo marlis
ReplyDeleteGina, your table setting is lovely and the pic with the heart is lovely too. xx
ReplyDeleteGina,
ReplyDeleteYour frugally done tablescape is awesome! Well done, ma'am!
I can't wait to get better and do a Valentine's tablescape- it's killing me not being able to do so!
You did a wonderful, creative table, Gina! I love the layers of dishes and the two different flatware colors. The napkin rings are so versatile and of course, your centerpiece is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteGina I love your tablescape! The hearts on the napkins are perfect. You really did a nice thrifty table! hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteHello there, Miss Gina!!! VERY pretty table! I like Valentine's tables with just a hint of the day. I think I've only used heart-shaped plates once. Every once in awhile (like this year) I'll slip a heart in somewhere, but it's usually more about evoking romance and all that kissy-kissy feeling! :-) Like you, I'm going for more of a "feeling" than a look. The little heart ornaments are perfect for creating that feeling along with the other pretty elements assembled. Well done! Have a love-filled Valentine's Day!!!
ReplyDeletePicmonkey is giving you a wonderful creativity in your photos. I love how you use so many lovely pieces in red and white for this pretty Valentine's tablescape. My favorite are the tiny silver hearts. Great job!

ReplyDeleteHow sweet and fun-Target has some amazing things after holidays that will cover many occasions-just love to do my winter walking there so I can check it all out-LOL
ReplyDeleteGina, what a beautiful table...love your centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteI love the "fluffy" feel of your table, with the pretty centerpiece and the napkins tucked into the heart-embellished rings. No need for valentine-specific dishes!
ReplyDeleteGina, your tablescape is truly heart felt. I was thinking the same thing. That I needed to do a tablescape. Maybe next week. Love-ly! Where is it that you find the fun banners on pic monkey?
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
It is so "romantical" and sweet. I love it. Another beautiful tablescape me friend.

ReplyDeleteIt's all so pretty but the thing I noticed is how you mixed up your flatware. Love it!
