Time for a little Easter (coffee table vignette)

Hello sweet friends!

With Easter being early this year, it feels kind of weird to me to be decorating when it's still so cold outside & there's snow on the ground. Now I know how you Southern girls feel when you're decorating for Christmas and it's 80 degrees outside!

I've been giving my home the Easter treatment and I wanted to share my coffee table vignette with you.

This vignette was kind of inspired by Ricki Jill at Art @ Home.  Did you know she never uses faux flowers or greenery?  Not even when making a wreath!  It fascinates me, I'll tell you.

I used an Easter egg table runner, a large flat basket, my real philodendron (which I placed in a wicker basket), an old book, and a shabby birdhouse.  I then placed my Dee Foust girl & bunny on top of a pedestal dish to complete the look.

Simple and pretty...and I love the look of seeing some real greenery around here for a change.

  9. Your Easter vignette is just lovely, Gina! You always have such charming flair in your designs.

Yes, it is terribly difficult to get in the Easter/spring mood with it being so cold - I may not decorate at all! Haha! That'd be a first!

  10. I love the girl on the bunny figurine. And very glad to see a real houseplant. I don't see very many in blogland. Mostly faux. I use faux even though I have some real ones!

  18. Your table scape is outstanding. Just enuf, not too much "stuff" on table. Wicker always makes me think of Spring. The tray is great. I'm embarrassed to admit, only kind of greenery I have is faux. Guess I'll have to work on that part.
It must have been a long winter everywhere this past year as everybody seems to be exceptionally ready for Spring and all it represents. Yeah for that. It's still wintery here in Western CO. One minute it's sunny, 50 to 60 then all of a sudden it's down to about 40, the wind is blowing, raining or snowing.
Last week I was getting ready to go out to find something for a project in a storage box on our back deck, when I looked out it was bright and sunny. Just the time it took me to get my shoes on, find sunglasses it was snowing and the temp had plunged. Not what I had in mind. I think it was Friday, we had gorgeous weather, 60. That's Mother Nature for ya'. Happy March

  26. Hi Gina! Oh, I love your little Easter vignette! Cute little bunny. No, I can't believe that RJ uses only real flowers. I'm sure she does but you know what I'm saying... :) Just give me some fauxs and I'm good to go!
