Hello sweet friends!
This week, we are supposedly going to be visited
by our most elusive of friends...
Spring.
(I'm almost afraid to believe it.)
It seems I am always complaining about the weather on my blog.
I do apologize.
It's just what we do around here.
Anyway,
how about I share my Spring mantel with you?
Taking down the Easter decor, my mantel was left bare,
so I Spring-ified it.
Please try to ignore that stupid ceiling fan reflection in the mirror.
Here's the left side:
I bought those paper flowers at a local Garden Shop.
Aren't they fun?
The birds came from Kirklands.
I just thought they were so cute.
I have had the white pitchers & greenery in my stash
for a few years now. Same for the little blue vases
from Joanns.
Here's the right side:
I try to pull myself out of my comfort zone,
better known as symmetry,
but it always seems to pull me back in. :)
Do you remember this bird cage?
I used it as a card holder for my niece's wedding...here.
The little nest I bought last year at Pier 1.
Happy Spring!

Oh, Gina, your mantel looks so pretty and springy! You did a beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteI need to get in gear and do something to mine! ;)
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh do not worry, I have been the queen of complaining when it comes to spring. It snowed her all weekend long...how is that for spring? ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, raining today and I am HAPPY!! It will melt the snow.
Looks springy indoors there Gina!!
Gina, your mantel is so pretty! Love those Spring-y colors!! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and Springified!!! I have even forgotten what leaves on the trees look like!!!!

ReplyDeleteI love it. The flowers are fun, as are the birds. You are just like me, apologizing for glare or other problems in my pictures. I probably wouldn't have noticed the ceiling fan if you hadn't mentioned it.
ReplyDeleteI like those flowers. Those birds are cute too. I took my Easter things down and it looked so bare here too. Still does......want to come over and help.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Gina! I love the colors too.
ReplyDeleteGina,
ReplyDeleteI always love how you change things up for the seasons. Your mantel definitely has a crisp, fresh look to it. Happy Spring!
Beautifully done Gina!! Springified indeed!
ReplyDeleteNow Gina isn't that the sweetest, freshest spring mantle?
ReplyDeleteLove it. It speaks volumes.
And I am SO WITH YOU on complaining about the weather - it IS what we do when it is either cold and wet and super hot and wet, nearly never perfect.
Our 2 days of perfect - gone. Right now there is a nasty hail storm pelting our new plants and blossoms. Yes, that is reason to complain if there is any!
Hugs and understanding,
M.
Your mantel is so pretty and Springy. Love all your pretties on your mantel, my favorite are your little birds and of course the bird cage. I'm a nut for birdcages, especially the metal ones. You did such a wonderful job of putting together a beautiful mantel.
ReplyDeleteI keep saying when I'm at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and birdcages are on sale I don't need another one, what do I go home with? another metal birdcage. It's that sale thing I guess, can't pass it up.
I don't have a mantel but a shutter shelf so I dress it and some shelves in a little corner of the living room. You are so inspiring. Happy days
I'm not moving a thing on my mantel, in my eyes it is now an all season mantel.

I love the colours Gina,very pretty. x
ReplyDeleteI couldn't stop by yesterday... was feeling so down and sad... but watching the thumb in my blog, and those soothing colors that go along with the "Spring Mantel 2013" were like a beacon of hope and happy and joyful times ahead.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
It turned great. In fact one of those times that thumb comes short in annoucing so much beauty and whimsy of a post.
Happy Spring, Dear Gina.
Teresa
Oh Gina, what a pretty spring mantel! I love the colors you used. Enjoy your day, Gail
ReplyDeleteYour mantle is beautiful, Gina! I love the colors. The bird cage is so pretty! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteGina, it is gorgeous! I still have one bunny up and found a couple of errant hearts from Valentine's so I really appreciate yours! I was so sad when we lost Kirklands here. Such fun things and it was all before I blogged too.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are just so perfect for spring!
I just put out potted hydrangeas and had to scoop 3 inches of snow off them Monday! Yikes. They survived but are a little bent. Hope it arrives and stays soon.
It would say your mantel is Spring-ified! It is so pretty with the pretty pops of green and blue. I am loving the little nest in the birdcage. You do the prettiest mantels. xo Ginger
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Gina, Thank you so much for making me believe Spring is on it's way. Don't worry, we are the same here in the North of England...always talking about the weather.....because the weather is so ridiculously awful at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWe are alike, as I like symmetry aswell as on my mantlepiece I have a centre, then beside that two matching items either side and then two matching items on each end...I can't help myself!
Have a lovely day.
Best wishes
Daphne
