Dots, Checks & Roses Tablescape

Before I begin, can I just complain about the weather for a second?
I believe we had 19 days of rain in June.  Here we are,
July 1st and what's it doing?
Raining!
I feel like I live in a jungle or a rainforest.
Everything is ridiculously green, but goodness, it's depressing.
I think it's time to buy a boat, or an ark, or something.

Ugh!  ENOUGH!
Thank you for allowing me to vent.  Now on to the post....

-----------

I don't believe I've shared a tablescape with you for 3 months now.

That's pretty sad, so I'm going to remedy that right now.

This is one of my favorite sets of dishes.
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love them.
They are from 222 Fifth.

These dishes have everything I love...dots, checks, roses...pretty colors
and a vintage feel.

White charger:  Oneida Factory Outlet
Gingham flatware:  Spiegel
Dot napkins:  Joann Fabrics
Dot tumblers:  Target

The dinner plate.

Insert big and dreamy **sigh.**

You can find the recipe for my strawberry hand pies, right here.

As always, thanks for visiting me today!

  10. This post reminds me of my daughter when she was young. I'll explain. When there would be a hot August day she'd go to her closet, and take a parka and wore it outside... it was funny because you had this huge parka and then two skinny legs in flops ahahahaha. And when we were in those dreadful winter days - cold, rainy and whatnot - she'd want to dress her swimming suit and go on the rain.

You also defied weather witches with this post, Gina. And avvoided their wrath because they were so charmed by it - even witches are hopeless with so much beauty and whimsy. I know I am. Worth waiting for (regarding you "been a while I posted a tablescape ;)"... really going to PIN this. Awesome!

    Thank you for sharing,

    Teresa

P.S. If life was fair I'd have those dishes, half of this heatwave and half of your rain. It isn't. But at least you have the perfect dishes ;).

  13. Gina, this is so gorgeous! I am always amazed at how you put things together. I struggle in that area.
And it's been raining here in NC for what seems like forever! My garden is crazy over grown... tomatoes are bursting open... tired of rain!

I think you already know your table scape is absolutely fantastic and awesome. You have the neatest stuff. Where do you keep it all? This set is one of my very very favorites, so vintage looking, to me at least. Love it all Gina, you get a big gold star. Happy 4th.
