Hello, hello everyone!
I have finally returned from my blog break and am glad to be here with you!
Vacation was wonderful, my refinished floors look beautiful and
I am working on lots of new projects around the house.
(I have a lot to share, if I could only finish an actual project. Ahem.)
I am working on lots of new projects around the house.
(I have a lot to share, if I could only finish an actual project. Ahem.)
Somewhere along the way of working on all these projects, I was detoured.
It all started last week.
First, the temperatures cooled into the 70s.
Overnight, the temps were in the 40s.
Overnight, the temps were in the 40s.
Second, I got my Sept/Oct issue of Taste of Home magazine.
I opened the cover and was stopped in my tracks by this picture:
The big "Back to School" did not even phase me,
even though my kids are back to school in less than 3 weeks.
No, it was the apples. Oh there is nothing like a crisp Fall apple!
And then it started.....the conditions were right for...
FALL DREAMING
Why does this always happen?
I don't want to rush Summer, but somehow Fall has a
way of awakening me from my Summer stupor.
So, have you been doing any Fall dreaming lately?
So glad to hear your back. Glad you had a great vacation. Looking forward to seeing your wood floors too! Have a great week. I am not ready for fall yet. I am going on a big vacation in October so I am still thinking summer. However I do like the smell of apples cooking or making an apple ie, yum.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Gina! We don't get the 4 seasons here in FL, nor did we in So Cal so I mainly start dreaming about Christmas round about now:)
ReplyDeleteYay for your new floors!
Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteNope, too soon for autumn for me - that's the truth of the matter.
Hugs.
Gina, it's so nice to see you back! I started dreaming of Fall last week, with the unseasonably cooler days that we had. I try to wait until September 1st; but it's so tempting, when all of the stores have their decor out.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. I'm still trying to hold onto what is left of summer, but I have started fall shopping. I do love my fall clothes!
ReplyDeleteHey Gina! I'm waiting for pumpkin spice frappes to make their appearance at Starbucks AND the pumpkin spice coffee creamer at the grocery store. Can't wait! I love that stuff! Glad you're back!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back- I am going to wait a bit on Fall-our summer has been WAY too short this year- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteso glad you are back! Not ready for fall here. We don't get a change of seasons. Being on the coast, we are still enjoying the sand and sun.
ReplyDeleteLove your inspiration pictures, tho. I will get there.
xoxo Ginger
Welcome back! I usually have trouble getting Fall decorating done in Sept because it's still so hot here....not THIS year! So yes! I am actually thinking about Fall decorating already!
ReplyDeleteWell Hello! I hope you had a fantastic break! I have been loving all of the delicious apples and pears in our grocery store, but any thoughts of fall are not happening here yet! Our summer was so late in coming, I hope it goes into Indian Summer! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Welcome back and so glad you had a good vaca!!! Can't wait to hear all about it. I am ready for the cool temps but not for all out Fall yet....those apples look yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, and I am definitely dreaming of fall, have been pinning fall stuff like crazy. xo
ReplyDeleteNo! I am trying not to think about Fall. Here in Georgia, summer will last for another couple of months and it is so depressing to see everyone else enjoying Fall, which is my favorite time of the year. Just thinking about it almost makes me want to cry. O.K., I will lighten up now - so glad you are back! I missed you, young lady!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Gina!! I have been looking for you in my sidebar! I love autumn, but do not want to rush summer! I am glad we get all 4 seasons here in Alberta, Canada. Glad your floors turned out and enjoy the last few weeks before Back to School arrives! I love a crunchy red apple as well!! Hope you will stop by the country again soon.
ReplyDeleteYes of course I'm thinking fall. In fact obsessing would be a better word! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. Glad you had a good break too!
ReplyDeleteHi Gina,
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back! Glad you had a wonderful vacation and are also working on fun new projects! I'm feeling the same way as you about Fall. My son goes back to school in two weeks and I'm ready to get into Fall mode! Pumpkin spice candles, hot apple pie, and crisp cool nights! It's been a hot summer so I'm ready for the change. Cozy sweaters too. It's my favorite time of year! : )
I love decorating for fall, but it's always so hot this time of year in California and can't get into a fall mood quite yet.
ReplyDeleteI KNOW!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way!
You have to "fence me out" of Fall until AT LEAST!...after Labor Day!
Thanks for the Fall pre-func!
Welcome back, Gina!
w/L.
:)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to come from breaks and being able to see and wish for ahead.
I'm craving Autumn Apples, but so not ready to be jumping seasons ahahah
Nice to have you back! I was so convinced that you'd be still away that I saw the post and didn't registered it was you. You were missed and are welcome, as usual.
Take Care and Have Fun!
Teresa
Welcome back - hope you had a good vacation. And I LOVE fall. sandie
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see those floors. We don't think of fall in FL until November. Well...some of my friends here have up their fall decor and it's 95 degrees. It's pretty funny to the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteYou bet I am dreaming girl...so ready. But I know for you that means closer to winter:( But lets enjoy Fall while we have it soon.
ReplyDeleteGina, I have been fall dreaming lately, and I'm looking forward to decorating the house. But I want to do a few more summer tablescapes first. We haven't had much of a summer down here due to the rain and much cooler temperatures. We've only had about two days in the nineties and that's it!
ReplyDeleteWhen do y'all start back to school? Glad you're back!
I am trying hard not to rush into fall as I love summer so much, but there sure is a lot of inspiration on Pinterest. Nice to have you back. xo Laura
