Oh Deer! The Dining Room Hutch for Christmas

How's that for a cheesy title?

Anyway,
I'm bringing the Christmas tour into my dining room today.
I'm going to start with my white dining hutch....

I found the white deer cuties @ Tuesday Morning and fell in love with them.
I did have to switch out their red plaid scarves (which I did love),
for more neutral ones.  I decorate a little more neutral in the dining room
than I do in the rest of the house, so the red plaid just wouldn't do here.

Here's a close up of one of those cutie pies:

I had the mercury glass candle holders
and silver tinsel trees from years past.
I added small glass bulbs & some sparkly pine cones.

I topped it all with a feather wreath that I've had for years,
and dangled a mercury glass ornament from the center of the wreath...

...and that's my dining room hutch.

I'll be back to share the rest of the dining room.

Have a wonderful day!

  1. Oh it so beautiful Ms. Gina. I love the cute little deer. There are two things I have been obsessed with this year and they are bottle brush trees and deer. Can you believe that Hubby and I went all over looking for a pair of deer to put on my coffee table vignette and didn't find any! Even went to Tuesday Morning. We finally gave in and looked online....can't wait to get them and share my vignette :-) Anyway, your hutch vignette is just lovely.

Oh, and what is up with this code verification on the comments? It just appeared on my blog and I can't seem to get rid of it....Did it just appear d on yours too?

    Hugs,
    ❤️Ana

Love the hutch, love the deer, and love the candle holders.
    Darling décor.

You are lucky to have some fun stores to shop at too!

Hope that the rest of the week is a good one for you.

  4. Think I'll have to comment on those adorable little deer you found. Haven't been in a Tuesday morning in long time. Maybe will have to pay them a visit soon.
You have always had a magic touch to decorating, did it again, your hutch looks so soft and pretty, love the white which seems to be a current idea this year for holiday decorating. I just wasn't in mood for brash colors so the red/green were left out Maybe little red on a pillow but not much else. Have white/gold/silver which is very restful to me this year. No tree up yet but think we'll use our tomato cage tree. We made it last year with the cage, some old pine garland, lights and home made ornaments. I also made a garland of 50 lights using silver, copper and gold lame I'd gotten years ago never used so cut it into strips and tied them on the light string, so pretty and sparkly. Did that two years ago, didn't put it up last year or most of my village.
Just used glass containers to put some village pieces/people with faux snow and Epsom salts with some pretty glitter on top.
We don't have a mantel but do have a shutter shelf that gets lots of action thru out the year and seasons. Love decorating that shelf. I bought some of that white faux fur at JoAnn's with coupon for the shelf and table where the tree will go.
Better get back to work have to finish my little birds for the show on Saturday. Have lots to do but made up my mind not to get crazy just do what I can. Not worth getting all snarly and snarky which happens if I press myself too much. Old age is telling me to be smart, ha finally. lol.
Happy weekend and enjoy this wonderful season
